ROTORLIMITPrivacy Policy
Effective September 28, 2026
RotorLimit is a load calculator that helicopter operators provide to their pilots. This policy explains what the RotorLimit app collects, why, and who can see it.
In short
- We collect your name, your company, and the calculations you run.
- Your operator's chief pilot can see them.
- We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or browsing activity.
- We do not show ads, track you across other apps or websites, or sell information.
What we collect
| Information | Why |
|---|---|
| First and last name, which you type when you sign in | To label your place in the company and your calculation records |
| Company and role (pilot or chief pilot), set by your access code | To give you the right aircraft and screens |
| Calculation records: the aircraft, what you entered, the result, the date and time, and the app version | To keep the operator's record of calculations |
| Device details: operating system and version, and a device identifier that we generate | To keep the device signed in and to fix problems |
| The date and time the app last connected | To show the chief pilot which devices are active |
| Push notification token, for chief pilots who allow notifications | To tell chief pilots when a pilot signs in |
Camera
The camera is used only to scan an access QR code. Images are read on the device. They are not saved and not sent anywhere.
Who can see your information
- Your operator. Chief pilots in your company can see the names of people signed in, when they were last active, and their calculation records.
- RotorLimit staff who administer company accounts and provide support.
- Service providers that run the service for us: Supabase (database and servers), Expo and Apple (delivery of push notifications).
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for advertising.
Where it is stored
Information is sent to our servers over an encrypted connection. Our service providers may store information outside your province or country, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
Calculation records belong to your operator and are kept while the operator has an account, because they form part of the operator's records. When an operator's account is deleted, its devices, access codes and calculation records are deleted with it.
Signing out removes everything RotorLimit stored on your device and frees your place in the company. Records already sent remain with the operator.
Your choices
You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Because records belong to your operator, we may need to work with them to complete a request. Email contact@aviationstandardsgroup.com.
You can turn off camera access and notifications at any time in the Settings app. You can still type an access code without the camera.
Children
RotorLimit is a professional tool for commercial pilots. It is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
